Engagement

Our engagement was close to 6 months. It was a long time. I was set to graduate on December 20, 2013 and then I would be moving home again. We couldn't wait for the time when we would live close and not have to travel to and from Rexburg each weekend. Skype was getting annoying as well, it never worked and it just frustrated us. We made it through the semester and to graduation. Wilson, his parents, and my family came up to watch it. It was so great to have all of them up there.
Wilson continued to do school through UVU and I started online semesters of the bachelors program. Basically all we did during those months was school, study, look for a job (me), and hang out. We spent everyday together, besides when Wilson was at work. It's funny how during that time we thought it was so hard and difficult because we had to be away from each other at times. Thinking back, those times were fun, easy days. I loved them and the simpleness that accompanied. Marriage has been so awesome and the absolute best, but the days before marriage are just as good and shouldn't be taken advantage of. I learned a lot about our relationship during those months and i'm grateful for the time that we had.

Planning a wedding was a lot harder than I thought. It was also very fun. I loved looking at different invitations and cakes and picking the cake. I loved picking flowers and my dress. Jenn Heslop and Jackie Jones helped my mom and I with the decorations at Hidden Valley Country Club. Since both our families were from Draper and Wilson's dad was the bishop of their ward, we had a huge invitation list, close to 500. It was a lot. The Club was the perfect place to hold our reception. Planning our wedding was amazing, this is also something that I would advise others not to take advantage of. It was so much fun and I loved it!
