The Beginning

Anytime anyone asks Wilson and I how we met and what our story is, we both come up with something different. My version is the most accurate. We met in a high school seminary class, it wasn't love at first site by any means. Wilson just teased me a lot. We became really good friends and for the most part, remained in contact throughout high school. We both dated other people so our communication was off and on. Wilson left on his mission on May 18, 2011. He went to Roseville, California. I went to his farewell and wrote him a good luck/good bye letter and gave it to him before he left. It had my address and email on it. About three months went by and I never heard from him. I randomly had a feeling that I should try to contact him. Without having his mission email, I guessed it and got it right. A few days later he emailed me back. Since that week we wrote for the rest of his mission. It was such a great friendship and I really cherished it. He helped me through so much during those two years, which turned out to be very challenging for me. Lexe was going through her cancer treatments and I was at BYU-I pursuing a nursing degree. By the time Wilson came home I was wanting to spend time with him and hang out. We had our first date and it was really good, however I felt like he wasn't really into it. I was really frustrated because when he wrote me on his mission he wrote like he liked me or was at least interested. After that date I totally called him out and asked what his deal was. Once we cleared that one up we really just hit it off. That summer was amazing. I still had half of a semester in Idaho before my summer break but we traveled back and forth to see each other often. It was so much fun.
This was after a hike up to bell canyon.

Wilson came to visit me and we went to Rigby lake.

This is half way to Suncrest point. One of our first pictures together after we started dating.

As the summer drew to a close, we knew we wanted to get married soon. I was getting ready to head up to my last semester in Idaho and it was going to be a long one. On September 20, 2013, after one week of being up in Idaho, I came down for the weekend. Wilson picked me up and we went up to his cabin to "bring his dad some tools".  Once we got up there we went on a walk down the trail that his family had built on their property. As we got further down, I noticed a bottle in the split of a tree.
We hiked up there and I got the bottle down. Inside was a rolled up note that said, MARRY ME....
I was so excited, I loved how there was not question mark, it was a statement and he wanted me to marry him and that was that. We picked out the ring together and it's just beautiful. I love it so much.
This was the next day after our engagement.

This is the ring without the band.
And so it was, we were set to be married on March 7, 2014. It was going to be a long engagement but we were just so excited and could hardly wait.
