We Have an Announcement!!

Ever since I can remember Wilson has begged and begged me to have kids as soon as possible after we were married. I was really against it at first because I just wanted to hangout me and him for awhile. After two months of talking about it and praying about it, we finally just stopped taking the pill. It didn't take long and before we knew it we were pregnant. We found out on Sunday, June 8th. We had given a talk that day and then gone to my parents house for dinner. When we came home we decided to try a pregnancy test. The first one came out positive! We were dying. We decided to try another one just in case. So we did and again it was positive. We were just so excited! We then got down on our knees and thanked Heavenly Father for this amazing blessing. It only took about two more weeks till I started feeling really sick. I had been called as an assistant camp director and while we were up at girls camp later that month, I started feeling really sick. I had no appetite and just did not feel good. From then on I was constantly throwing up and feeling nauseous. It. Was. Terrible. I was still working for Heartwood and that was so hard. I felt sick all the time and was always throwing up in my car, out my window, in my patients yard. It was so bad and gross and embarrassing.

In September we got to go to our 20 week appointment and find out the gender. We were so dang excited. They did the whole ultrasound and waited till the end to look at the gender because she was hiding:) When they finally saw what they needed to see they said, "it's definitely a girl!!" I was so dang excited! I felt like it was a girl for sure!

IT'S A GIRL!

Sweet little peanut

We got this cute little video of Millie yawning.

I quit working for Heartwood in October and just focussed on school and fixing up our house. At the time we were moving out of our apartment and into our first house. We were staying with Wilson's parents for a month while we continued working on the house. It was a hard time for awhile but once we got settled in the house, things got a lot better. We were so eager for Millie to get here. Sometimes, it felt like she was never going to come.

I didn't show for so long, she was just a tiny little thing. This picture was in December I think.

Baby shower that Jenn, Jackie, and my mom put together

We were so blessed to have baby showers. We got everything that we needed and it was so amazing. As we got closer and closer to February 8th. (Her due date) we were more and more eager for her to get here. At 36 weeks we started going to weekly appointments. The 36 week appointment I was 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced. I stayed there for 4 more weeks. I tried everything to get her to come. I ate pineapple, I bounced on an exercise ball, I tried to walk a lot. Nothing worked. At 40 weeks they did a non-stress test and found that she was fine but that I was having little contractions. Then I hit 41 weeks and we still had the same results at the non stress test. She did not want come, that was for sure. Finally my doctor let us schedule an induction date. We picked the soonest date possible which was February 17th. It was hard to be told that we needed to wait another 9 days.... I was dying. But of course, our little peanut was totally worth it.
