This last week has been very busy for us. Wilson's birthday was last week, we had a cabin trip, Memorial Day, and Lexe's birthday. We headed to the cabin on Friday after Wilson got home from work. It was really nice to be up there and just relax. We spent friday just hanging out. Here is Millie and grandpa just hanging out. Of course she has to have her eyes on the TV.
Millie and Daddy
On Saturday we got up and went for a really nice walk. I had just bought a baby carrier for Millie so that I could get more done and hold her at the same time. Lately she has been so fussy unless you're holding her. She loves the carrier and loves to be facing outwards.
I should work a little harder on looking a little better at the cabin haha.
After the walk we went back to the cabin and had lunch. Wilson and I realized that we will need to go to the cabin as much as possible this summer. In the fall he will be taking a class on Saturday morning and we won't really be able to go to the cabin in the fall. That's okay though.
On Memorial Day we slept in for awhile, it was really nice and we both needed it. We then went to go clean the shop. I walked down there and met up with Wilson. It was really nice to walk, I really like to get out with the stroller it feels good to be as active as possible. After that, we worked in the yard for a bit, then Wilson headed to his parents for basketball. He loves playing with Robbie, Mike, and Ryan. The weather cleared up just in time for them to play, it was really nice. Millie and I just hung out and watched. After they were done we went to Asian Star to celebrate Wilson and Lexe's birthdays. It was really nice. Millie is such a good little girl and lets us be able to do lots of things like that. She is never fussy or bad. I'm one lucky mom.
Haha you can tell Wilson was really trying to blow those candles out! It was a really nice day and we loved having an extra day together.
Here is a cute picture of little Millie, man I love this girl. Today I went to Ashely Smith's bridal shower, it was really nice to see a bunch of people from the 2nd ward. A lot of those people hadn't seen my in a very long time and were surprised when they saw that I had Millie. Sometimes people seem so judgmental that we had her so fast. They say things like, "wait so when did you get married" and "wow that was fast". I love that decided to have her, we knew sometimes was missing in our family and we love her so much, but sometimes it's really hard to hear things like that. That's why I love just being out own little unit, no one can judge us and we can do our own thing. I'm so grateful for her. She brings light into our lives each and every day.
I also had an opportunity today to go with Amber Jorgensen to her job as an insulin nurse. I wanted to go and see what it was like. It was really neat. She just helps 2-3 kids with their insulin shots before lunch. It's the perfect mom job because I can go every day and bring Millie with me. I don't have to work holidays or weekends. The ONLY downside is the fact that the timing is so specific for each day, but I think I could work that out and Millie will be a little bit older and it will be easier to handle. I'm really excited about it and I hope I hear back from them soon. I'm anxious to get working somehow, it's just been so difficult to find something that works with Millie. All I want is to stay at home with my kids. I love nursing but I love being a mom even more. So hopefully this job opportunity works out.
